The Papua New Guinea Hunters rugby league team have drafted Nickson Borana and John Ragi into their squad for the upcoming Queensland Cup season.
The 19 year olds have been part of PNG's junior development program for the last three years, while both made their international debuts as members of the Commonwealth Rugby League 9s team in Glasgow last year, where PNG won the gold medal. Prop-forward Borana plays for the Lae Snax Tigers while five-eighth Ragi was a member of the Agmark Gurias in the Digicel Cup domestic competition. Meanwhile, George Benson has been released, so he can pursue a career in the Police Force while Philemon Kimisive has been released to return to the Digicel Cup for another year. RNZI
