TICKETS for Saturday’s Queensland Cup match against the Souths Logan Magpies at the Sir John Guise Stadium are being sold at Stop N Shop outlets starting today.
No tickets will be sold at the gates on the day of the Round 14 fixture, which is being used to test the stadium in the lead-up to the Pacific Games. Tickets are selling at K25 for the outer stands and K35 for the grandstand. Gates open at 4pm for the 7pm kick-off in a match that is a first for residents of the nation’s capital and the outlaying provinces of Central and Gulf to have an opportunity to see the South Pacific Brewery-sponsored Hunters play. All Hunters’ home games since the PNG club entered the Queensland Rugby League competition last year have been staged at the Kalabond Oval in Kokopo. Tickets will available at outlets in North Waigani, Central Waigani, Town, Boroko, Rainbow and Badili. Meanwhile, the Hunters and their sponsors will be running a special promotion for rugby league fans to attend the nines tournament at the Pacific Games. For every Hunters ticket bought for this weekend’s match, fans will have an opportunity to buy a nines ticket for the Pacific Games at half price, which in essence means what was a K20 ticket now becomes K10.
