The SP PNG Hunters are currently sitting comfortably at the 4th spot on the QLD Intrust Super Cup ladder and are confident to maintain their position in the top 5 as the finals approach. As such, Hunters Coach Michael Marum said this week’s training will mainly be focussing on their defence work as they prepare for this Sunday’s clash against Northern Pride. The team has seen some changes after Justine Olam, Bland Abavu and Adex Wera have been suspended following a video review by the QRL Judiciary after the game against Townsville Blackhawks last Saturday. The suspension and season ending injury to Thompson Teteh had forced Coach Marum to rush in Noel Zeming and Stargroth Amean back from injury into the starting line-up. The finalized team will be announced on Thursday before the team travels to Cairns on Friday for the match against Northern Pride on Sunday. The game begins at 3pm. Comments are closed.
